My name is Stephanie Kennedy
And I have been an entrepreneur for 30 years, but as the years passed my interests grew and my curiosity pulled me to reach in different directions.
I started my journey in the beauty industry in the early 1990’s. I was a salon owner/stylist as well as a makeup artist with my own cosmetics line, and everything was great! I had loyal clients, room to be creative and I could say it was all mine. However, the thing I was lacking was time.
Even though my salon was thriving, I found myself repeating the cycle with my daughter, placing my profession before family - something I didn't want to.
I found myself in search of something that would give me the freedom and flexibility I didn’t have working in my salon. I was successful and loved my work, but I needed to position myself to have more control over my time.
I asked God to show me something different.
I serviced high-profile clients and I noticed many of them were real estate professionals. I saw their lifestyles and how they were able to move through their day on their own terms and were wealthy.
I wanted to know more - so I asked.
I knew there would be a lot to learn, but I saw the opportunity and knew Real Estate was an industry in which I could thrive.
Choosing this route has allowed me to learn the business, live the lifestyle I’ve dreamed of and now it’s allowing me to share with the next woman. I want to show women, and especially fellow women of color, that there are no ceilings. They can release themselves from their 9-5’s and thrive in a new space.
We do not always have someone to show us the way – I want to change that.
